Our Instructors

1DawnBennett Hello, I am Dawn Bennett. I have called Tennessee home since 1996, and have raised my three children in our Tennessee schools. I am divorced after a long-term marriage. I have a BS in Psychology and am currently completing an MDiv. In addition to facilitating for LifeBridge TN, I am a Life Coach and advocate for LGBTQ Youth & Families, Peacekeeping Circle Facilitator and a volunteer Civil Mediator, working Juvenile Victim Offender cases for Davidson County. My favorite exercise to recommend in the LifeBridge curriculum is to write love letters to your children. I strongly believe building a family legacy is critical to the future of your lineage. My overall combined goal is family strengthening.

1RobinNielsen Robin Nielsen graduated from Mid-America Nazarene University with a Bachelor in Communications and Human Relations in 1990. She continued on to obtain her Master of Arts degree in counseling in year 2000 from Trevecca University. Currently, Robin is a school counselor in the Sumner County system and finds great satisfaction in helping children. Prior to her employment with the school system, Robin was a Human Resource Specialist. Her employment history has enabled her to become very familiar in recognizing strengths and weaknesses within families. She is an advocate for developing strong communication skills between parents and children. As she works with children and home issues every day in her current employment, she is aware of many of the situations that are produced when a divorce occurs. While she communicates with students on a daily basis, she finds that teaching LifeBridge classes is very rewarding as she is able to give parents insight to how children of divorce typically feel and react to various situations.

1ChristianCid Christian Cid graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2006. Currently working at LifeWorks Counseling Center, Christian serves as a Counselor & Trained Family Mediator in private practice. Possessing extensive experience in mental illness, counseling and conflict management and resolution, Christian believes that by helping families to develop strong communication skills, problem solving skills and love within the family unit helps promote a healthy individual.
“I believe that by working to strengthen the family we are in turn strengthening our communities, churches and workplaces. A positive family reflects the values of every healthy individual. A healthy individual is one who learns to communicate strongly and helps promote success beyond their generation”. The belief in strong parenting is what has led Christian to become an instructor with LifeBridge.
Leading by example is one way Christian helps to promote the core principles in life. She is married with two children living in Hendersonville, TN. and is an active participant in her church. For Christian being a mother has been the most rewarding, but challenging tasks, knowing you are the primary example for your children.
